Alisply System
The Alisply system is a high-strength concrete forming system designed for fast-paced gangform operations.
Panels and fillers
This metric, modular system consists of a galvanized steel frame and a phenolic resin-coated 15 mm (5/8") plywood face. It provides the strength; durability and finish needed for most gangforming applications.
Alisply has the strength required for the large contact areas and fast pour rates common in large gangform applications. With a design pressure of 6000 kg/m2 (1228.8 psf), only two ties are needed for 3 meter panel heights.
Alisply forms can be used horizontally or vertically, even within the same gang. Available in various widths from 25 to 200 cm, and heights of 1 or 3 meters, this wide range of panel and filler sizes means that you'll be able to form almost any wall dimension. When combined with inside and outside corners and accessories, pilasters, bulkheads and columns can be formed with standard equipment, minimizing costly job-built forming operations.
Connecting Clamp
Attaching and removing the Connecting Clamp requires no tools. A simple lever action opens and closes the "jaws", and a large tension screw is easily adjusted by hand. This clamp is used vertically or horizontally on panels, fillers and corners. Whether side-by-side or stacked, Alisply forms are easy to connect.
Adjustable Clamp
The Adjustable Clamp also requires no tools to install. The large wing nut on the handle adjusts the clamping "jaws" to accommodate lumber fillers up to 25 cm (10") wide. Like the Connecting Clamp, the Adjustable Clamp can be used vertically or horizontally to create the exact dimension required.

Steel-Ply
The most popular engineered, Symons manufactures reusable, factory-built concrete forming system in use today.
Steel-Ply is designed for maximum versatility. It can be used to form virtually any kind of concrete pedestal, culvert, haunch or stoop as well as straight, curved, battered or "Y" walls. Combining panel or filler sizes and using them vertically or horizontally can form practically any dimension.
The Steel-Ply system combines heavy duty steel rails and crossmembers with Symons special layup ½" HDO plywood for a 1000 pounds per square foot (psf) rating at a 2:1 safety factor. This load rating:
- reduces tie requirements compared to typical job-built formwork
- increases productivity
The Steel-Ply system consists of more than 80 standard panel and filler sizes . Wedge bolts connect panels, fillers and ties in one simple operation, making formwork erection and removal quick and easy.
You have the option of ordering your Steel-Ply concrete forms with Quick-Hook HandlesT. The 5,000 lb. capacity of the integral Quick Hook Handle gives workers convenient handholds and attachment points for safety belts. It meets the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements for personal fall protection (Subpart M).
- Carpenters handle less weight when using Steel-Ply panels compared to other forming systems. This means less time erecting, stripping and moving from structure to structure.
- No special tools are required, only an ordinary carpenter's hammer is necessary.
- The same forms can be handset or gangformed, so there's no need to buy several different systems to handle your basic needs.
- Steel-Ply reduces expensive job-built form fabrication because it comes in many standard panel and filler sizes (see next question for sizes).
- Expensive job-built corners are eliminated with the use of 90° and 135° rigid inside and outside corners or hinged corners for other angles.
- Labor in cleaning and coating forms is reduced with the high quality HDO plywood face compared to lower grade plywood used on other systems.
- Optional attached hardware is available to speed panel connections. There's no misplaced or out-of-reach hardware during panel erection, and there's no gathering up loose hardware during stripping procedures to slow workers down.
- Walers are used to align the forms only, and are not required as load gathering members that must have ties attached.
- Most column dimensions can be easily formed with no external ties or additional fillers. In addition, a special neoprene chamfer strip eliminates repeated nailing of conventional wood chamfers after each form use.

Max-A-Form
Symons heavy duty, all steel, self-spanning forming system for columns, piers and walls.
Max-A-Form combines the labor-saving benefits of modular forming with the strength of an all-steel design. The structurally welded frame and steel face can support concrete loads over long spans without the need for shoring. It is ideal for gang forming walls, large columns or bridge piers.
The Max-A-Form concrete forming system combines a 3/16" steel face with heavy-duty steel crossmembers to support higher pour rates. Panels up to 8' wide are rated at 1500 psf, 9' and 10' wide panels at 1200 psf. The strength of this design virtually eliminates the need for walers and dramatically reduces tie requirements.
The Max-A-Form system consists of more than 100 standard panel sizes that can be engineered for the most demanding concrete forming conditions. This system provides exceptional productivity for large, structural applications.
Simple wall forming
Forms are assembled easily using a ¾" Speed Bolt and Nut. Panels are punched with a combination of holes and slots in both the top and the side framing to allow easy alignment and quick assembly regardless of panel orientation.
Panels are available in more than 100 sizes, from 2' wide by 1' long to 10' wide by 20' long. 12' wide panels are furnished in a maximum of 8' lengths. The large number of filler choices allows more gang and detail flexibility. Large, 200 square foot panels mean fewer pieces, fewer panel joints and less labor to assemble.
Versatile tie systems are available with capacities and configurations to maximize cost effectiveness for each application.
Taper Ties and She-Bolts are used with Plate Washers or Cast Bearing Washers and nuts for efficient flat and battered wall applications. Ultimate loads on Taper Ties are 50,000 or 96,000 lbs. and She-Bolts are 50,000 or 85,000 lbs.
External top and bottom ties are available in several lengths and adjustment ranges to accommodate a wide range of wall thicknesses and special applications.
When assembled in larger gangs, Max-A-Form becomes even more productive. Cycling time is optimized on repetitious forming applications, and the modular design allows quick modifications to meet changing wall forming requirements. With large gangs and easy-to-use support equipment like the Max-A-Form Anchor Clamps, crane time is kept to a minimum.
Beams and Pier Caps
The Max-A-Form 3/16" steel face and integrated structural steel frame provide support over long spans with no need for labor intensive shoring. This is especially useful for beam and pier cap applications where shoring support is impossible.
Productivity is further enhanced during setting and stripping, because crane time is reduced. Cap forms can be picked as a single unit or in large assemblies.
Stability Beams and Pier Cap Braces, Spreader Beams, Top Tie/Lift Brackets, Bottom Ties with Swivel Screw Jacks, Walkway Brackets, and other Max-A-Form accessories also are available for self-spanning applications.

Form Flex
Symons flexible steel concrete forming system designed for round concrete tanks and curved walls
Form Flex panels are delivered to the job-site preassembled to the required radius. No expensive job-built templates are needed to put this patented forming system to use.
The Form Flex system consists of a flexible, 3/16" steel-faced panel that follows the shape of a rolled angle rib. The rib is bolted to panel stiffeners to securely hold the form to the specified radius. Changing the forming radius for different project conditions is as simple as changing the rib.
The Form Flex concrete forming system produces an excellent concrete surface that normally requires no additional finishing. Because the Form Flex panel flexes to form the radius, "chording" is virtually eliminated.
Pre-Rolled Steel Ribs Set the Radius
Factory rolled top and bottom ribs bolt to flexible panels to shape and securely hold the form in the radius you require. Panels conform precisely to the radius of the ribs - this design assures that you'll get the correct radius every time. And, with a straight rib, you can produce a straight wall if needed.
Fast and Simple Erection
Panels are delivered to the jobsite pre-assembled to your required radius. There are no expensive templates to build; no need to torque bolts; just begin erecting forms.
If the job requires more than one radius, simply order extra rolled ribs for use with the same forms. Changeover is quick and simple, done on the site by job personnel. The new rolled ribs will automatically set the new radius to the forms; this will speed assembly and increase forming productivity.
Stacking Panels
Panels can be stacked by bolting the top and bottom ribs of adjacent forms with ¾" Fit-Up Bolts and Nuts. Steel Walkway Brackets may also be bolted to the vertical stiffeners to provide workers safer access to the top of the forms. To provide vertical alignment, Pipe Form Aligners bolt directly to vertical stiffeners.
